  • Mackenzie Howard

Mackenzie Howard became a counselor to create a space where people feel safe, seen, and heard. She considers it a privilege to support clients through difficult seasons, celebrate their progress, and provide an intentional space where they can invest in themselves and grow into the best version of who they are.

Mackenzie is especially passionate about working with teens and young adults, while also enjoying her work with adults. She supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, and life transitions.

Her counseling style is collaborative and client-led. Mackenzie believes clients are the experts on their own experiences. While the client helps determine the direction of therapy, she provides guidance, encouragement, and practical tools along the way. She works primarily from a person-centered perspective and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques based on each client’s individual needs.

Through counseling, Mackenzie hopes clients develop greater confidence, experience a sense of freedom, and gain tools that will support their continued growth and long-term success.

Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys experimenting with different crafts, particularly fiber arts such as embroidery, crochet, and sewing. She also loves spending time with friends and family, playing board games, chatting, or relaxing on the couch with her dog and a good movie or television show.

A fun fact about Mackenzie is that her childhood dream job was training dogs to perform in movies so they could become stars.

“My goal as your therapist is to empower you to become the best version of yourself.”
