    Types of SMS Communications

If you consent to receive text messages from Self Care Counseling, you may receive conversational SMS messages from authorized members of our staff.

These messages are nonautomated, one-to-one communications intended to support a two-way conversation. Messages may relate to:

    • Responding to questions about our services or office locations

    • Appointment scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, or confirmations

    • Arrival and check-in communication

    • Questions or requests concerning forms and paperwork

    • Communication with your treatment team

    • Responses to billing, insurance, or office questions

    • Other non-emergency customer care or care-coordination matters you request

We do not use this conversational SMS program to send unsolicited marketing, promotional, automated, or bulk messages.

    Example:

“Hello Jordan, this is Alex from Self Care Counseling. I can help you reschedule your appointment. Would Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. or Thursday at 11:00 a.m. work better? Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging.”

SMS should not be used for emergencies. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For crisis support, call or text 988.

    Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary depending on your interactions with our staff. During an active conversation, you may receive up to 10 SMS messages per week. You may receive fewer or no messages when you are not actively communicating with us.

    Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and mobile plan. Carrier fees may vary for messages sent or received domestically or internationally.

You may opt in to receive conversational SMS messages from Self Care Counseling by:
