Lilia Jackson
Lilia provides in-person services at Self Care Counseling’s Greendale, Indiana location and also offers telehealth appointments. She works with children and adolescents, with a particular passion for helping younger children navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, major transitions, attachment concerns, behavioral challenges, and difficulties at school.
Lilia understands that children do not always have the words to explain what they are thinking or feeling. She meets each child where they are and provides a safe, consistent, and supportive environment where they can express themselves at their own pace. Using cognitive behavioral therapy, play-based techniques, mindfulness, games, stories, and crafts, Lilia helps clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and actions.
Warm, bubbly, creative, and humorous, Lilia believes therapy can be both meaningful and fun. She strives to make every session flexible and free from judgment while helping clients strengthen their coping skills, regulate their emotions, build confidence, communicate their feelings, and improve their overall well-being.
Having experienced the positive impact of therapy in her own life, Lilia was inspired to help others experience meaningful change. She considers it a privilege to support young people as they feel more understood, discover their strengths, and develop skills that can make a lasting difference in their lives.
Outside of work, Lilia enjoys crafting, running, and spending time with friends. She also loves spending time with her two cats, Barb and Goose, and her jumping spider, Penelope.
