  • Allie Neumann

Allie Neumann is a warm, validating therapist who works primarily with children and adolescents in Indiana, with availability for both in-person and telehealth sessions. Allie may also offer services in Ohio as availability allows. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where young clients feel heard, understood, and free to be their authentic selves.

Allie most enjoys working with school-aged children and teenagers who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, friendship and relationship challenges, and school-related stress. Many of the clients she supports are looking to better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and build confidence as they adapt to life’s challenges. Allie helps clients work toward feeling more grounded, capable, and fulfilled in their daily lives.

Her counseling style is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and interests. Sessions often incorporate creativity, games, and interactive activities when helpful, allowing therapy to feel engaging and approachable—especially for younger clients. Allie primarily uses a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach to help clients identify and challenge negative core beliefs that impact thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She also integrates elements of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to support emotional regulation, resilience, and values-based growth.

Allie believes that all behavior has meaning and that underlying emotional challenges often show up in different behavioral responses. She is trained in trauma-informed care and has extensive experience working with children and teens impacted by trauma. Allie also has a strong interest in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, helping them thrive in a world that is often designed for neurotypical individuals.

In addition, Allie is passionate about making counseling more accessible to the Deaf community and neurodiverse individuals. She holds a minor in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies. While not fluent, she is committed to continued learning and is interested in incorporating ASL and visual communication strategies to better support Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and neurodiverse clients who benefit from alternative communication styles.

Allie was drawn to becoming a therapist through her love of working with people and her desire to support others through both the challenges and meaningful moments of life. She finds deep fulfillment in walking alongside clients on their journeys and helping them create lasting, positive change. Allie believes everyone struggles at times, and that therapy can be a powerful tool for growth, healing, and self-understanding.

Clients can expect Allie to take a collaborative, client-led approach to treatment. She encourages clients to identify areas they want to grow or change and works together with them to create goals that feel achievable and empowering. Allie hopes clients leave therapy feeling heard, validated, and supported.

Outside of the therapy room, Allie has a strong connection to creative expression. She grew up dancing and continued dancing and choreographing in college, later teaching and choreographing for students. She values the powerful connection between movement, creativity, and wellbeing, and believes having creative outlets is an important part of overall mental health.
