  • Mykaela Freeman

Mykaela works with young adults and individuals from marginalized backgrounds who are navigating anxiety, trauma, identity stress, and the emotional weight of societal expectations. Many of the clients Mykaela supports feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck in a world that often asks them to be strong without leaving space to simply be human. She is especially passionate about helping clients reconnect with their sense of self, build confidence, and recognize their worth while unpacking the messages and expectations that may have shaped how they see themselves.

Mykaela’s approach to therapy is warm, conversational, and deeply collaborative. She believes therapy should feel like a place to exhale—where there is no pressure to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have everything figured out. Sessions are grounded in authenticity, empathy, and humor when appropriate. Mykaela shows up as her real self: down-to-earth, occasionally goofy, and fully present. When things feel heavy, she meets clients where they are, offering understanding, validation, and practical tools to help them rebuild confidence and resilience.

In therapy, Mykaela works with clients to develop skills for managing anxiety, navigating intense emotions, and coping with life’s challenges in healthier ways, while also honoring each person’s lived experience and personal values. She believes clients are the experts of their own lives, and her role is to support them in recognizing their strengths, increasing self-awareness, and building self-worth at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. Growth, in Mykaela’s view, happens when people feel seen, supported, and accepted—not judged or rushed.

Mykaela was drawn to this work through both personal experience and a deep desire to serve others. Having navigated environments where she felt marginalized and unheard, she understands how powerful it can be to have someone truly listen and validate your experience. Therapy, to her, is a space for empowerment—where clients can find their voice, honor their story, and begin to see themselves beyond the labels placed on them by society.

Mykaela offers both in-person and telehealth sessions, providing flexible options for care. She strives to create an affirming, supportive space for clients who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. You don’t need the right words or a clear plan to begin—just a willingness to show up. Together, Mykaela works with clients to help them feel more grounded, confident, and aligned with who they truly are.
